The Traditional 21st Annual Exhibition By Croatian Society of Cartoonists,2022

On Tuesday, February 15, the traditional 21st annual exhibition organized by the Croatian Society of Cartoonists was opened in the gallery space of POU Ivanić-Grad. A rainy evening did not stop cartoonists from coming to see a selection of cartoons from 66 countries.

This year, 70 caricatures were exhibited, the works of world-famous caricaturists who were exhibited at the 26th International Caricature Exhibition 2021 in the Klovićevi dvori Gallery in Zagreb.

The theme of this year's exhibition is STRIP (comic book heroes and their authors in cartoons).

A special guest of the exhibition was the cartoonist Damir Novak, whose caricature won 1st place at the International Caricature Exhibition.

HDK members Davor Trgovčević, Milan Lekić, Damir Novak and Zdenko Puhin attended the opening of the exhibition.

As usual, Davor Trgovčević and Milan Lekić drew a portrait of the caricature of those present.

In the foreword to the exhibition, Marko Šunjić (President of the Jury, Editor of the FIBRA publishing house) wrote: “I have been reading comics since I knew about myself. At first, of course, I just looked at the pictures until, attracted by the magical magic that was in those pages until finally, long before I went to school, for the sake of comics and through comics, I learned to read. That combination of pictures and words had an incredibly strong influence on me, it was love at first sight, love that changed and shaped my life, love that is just as strong today. "

Visitors to the exhibition were able to view two albums filled with cartoons by Nick Titanic. Kudos to the diligent collector.
