International Cartoon Contest  Grand Prize"Humour a Gallarate"/Italy 2015

The 20th and 21st edition of Humour a Gallarate - Grand Prix Marco Biassoni are unified as an extraordinary event to celebrate the coincidence with Expo 2015 World Exposition, to be held in Milan from 1 May to 30 October. The International Cartoon Contest is organized by the "Pro Loco" of Gallarate for cultural purposes, attest to the creative contents worthy of thought and the humoristic graphic art Which Contribute in no way mean to the development of attentional, innovative, pluralistic and open-minded social relationship. regulation 1) The competition is open to all cartoonists, cartoonists, illustrators and graphic artists in the world and divided into 3 sections (Graphics, Satire, Caricature)
2) Theme: THE GLOBAL MARKET
Sections: A) Graphic | B) Satire | C) Caricature
You can participate in all sections.
3) Revenue: max. 3 works. The works must be UNPUBLISHED, NEVER PUBLISHED, original and accompanied by the entry form, biography and eventual autocaricatura. Each work must be signed by the author, complete with personal data (name, address ...). The author is required to specify the section for each work.
4) Size: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm)
5) Technique: free (to be indicated on the back of the work). The works produced with graphics programs, will be accepted for the competition ONLY if sent in hard copy, signed by the author. COPIES OF WORKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
The works submitted in digital format, via email or on computer, will not be considered for the awards, but only for the exhibition and the catalog.
6) Deadline: March 15, 2015 (the postmark will)
7) Jury: the selection of the works and the awarding of prizes is the sole responsibility of the Jury, appointed by the artistic direction by the Local Gallarate, which will meet March 28, 2015 in Gallarate. The jury's decision is final.
8) Prizes: the Jury will award the following prizes:
Grand Prix "Marco Biassoni" the best work ever between sections Graphics, Satire and Caricature - € 1,000 uro + certificate
1st Prize for each section (Graphics, Satire, Caricature) - € 500 uro + certificate
Special Jury Prize for each section (Graphics, Satire, Caricature) - certificate
5 Special Mentions for each section (Graphics, Satire, Caricature) - certificate
Special prize Osvaldo Cavandoli "Cava" (creator of the famous character "The Line") to the best work among all sections that combines the beauty of the content humorous, satirical or caricature with the utmost simplicity of execution graphics - € 500 uro + certificate
9) Exposure: May 3 - June 30, 2015 at Palazzo Minolettii, Piazza Garibaldi - Gallarate.
Opening Ceremony: May 3, 2015 at 11 am
The authors present at the inauguration will welcome guests to a banquet rustic.
10) Catalogue: each selected author, exhibited in shows and published in the catalog, will receive a complimentary copy of the same
11) Property and rights: the organization reserves the rights to reproduce the works of the catalog, newspapers or posters to promote the Contest and to exhibit a selection of works in other locations in Italy and abroad. All the works will not be returned and will be included in the "Humour Gallarate Collection".
