Rule: The comic book must consist of the harmonious integration of visual elements and poetry, ensuring that the narrative develops through the complementary junction between image and poetic text. The drawings should express the atmosphere and emotion of the plot, while poetry should contribute to the depth of the story, taking on various forms, such as the free verse, provided it stays consistent with the illustration.

1 | All authors over the age of 18 can apply.

2 | The contestants can present individually made comic book stories, with text in Portuguese or English.

3 | The contested comics must consist of 12 unpublished original pages, each page with only one vignette, presented to black and white.

4 | The format of the boards submitted for the competition should be A5 (148x210mm).

5 | The twelve boards must be numbered.

6 | Submission deadline: December 31, 2025

8 | The selected works will be exhibited in several Portuguese galleries and schools.

9 | The three winners will receive a trophy (a piece of local craftsmanship), a diploma, and a digital catalog.
