Opening Of The Cartoon & Illustration Exhibition "Free Palestine-The Silence Is A Crime"/Serbia,2024
On Friday, April 5, 2024, at 9 p.m., at the Gallery MMC, Cultural Center Novi Pazar, an exhibition of caricatures and illustrations will be opened on the topic FREE PALESTINE - THE SILENCE IS A CRIME.
What has been happening in Palestine for the last six months, but also for more than 75 years, has changed us all. It changed the way we see the world around us, but also the established representations of the so-called and self-proclaimed "democratic systems" of the Western world and the USA. The injustice which has been done to the Palestinian people cannot be erased or forgotten...
On this occasion, the Gallery MMC, Cultural Center Novi Pazar, in the thematic framework of FREE PALESTINE - THE SILENCE IS A CRIME, sent an invitation for an exhibition of caricatures and illustrations to artists from the region. In a short time frame, 22 authors responded and sent more than 100 works of art.
Prominent artists Goran Ćeličanin and Muhamed Đerlek Max are going to speak at the opening.
