THE HOUSE OF HUMOUR AND SATIRE WELCOMES ITS 3-MILLIONTH VISITOR / Bulgaria 2015

On 12 August, 2015 the Museum HOUSE OF HUMOUR AND SATIRE welcomed its 3-millionth visitor.

It was Mr. SU WIM PONG from Taiwan who is on a package tour of Bulgaria.

Mr. Pong lives in Tainan City and it is his first visit to this country.

However, he has heard a lot about Bulgaria from his Bulgarian friend in Tainan.

Mr. Pong works in the field of shoe material supply; his hobby is to study history and the religions in the world.

The VIP visitor was formally received by the museum guides and curators.

The House's director Tatyana Tsankova personally presented him with a special certificate,

a Gabrovo souvenir, publicity material and a set of publications of the House of Humour and Satire in English.

After looking round the exhibition rooms and museum attractions Mr. Pong left his autograph in Chinese

and English in the museum Book of Honorary Visitors.

The museum archives hold valuable information about other noteworthy visitors to the House.

On 5 August, 1982 the museum welcomed its millionth visitor - Pavel Sergeevich, a teacher from the town of Gorki.

Three years later Shota Aleksandrovich Dedanashvili - a pilot in the civil aviation in Tbilisi - happened to

be the 1,5-millionth tourist to cross the museum threashold.

The 2-millionth visitor to the House of Humour and Satire was registered on 24 May, 1987.

It was Olda Chekanova from Leningrag, today's Saint Petersburg
