Brazilian Dalcio Machado wins Golden Hat Knokke-Heist/Belgium,2016
Golden Hat:Dalcio Machado from Brazil has won the 55th International Cartoon Contest of Knokke-Heist. The decision to Machado this year to give the Golden Hat and the corresponding cash prize of EUR 5000 was taken by a professional jury, headed by chairman Chris Dusauchoit. Along with comedian Michael Van Peel, cartoonists Lectrr and Steve Michael and Katrien De Vreese of Davidsfonds, he had the difficult task to choose from the 2266 submitted cartoons Yellow Hat Knokke-Heist in 2016.
